Teenagers in Cedar Park, Leander and nearby communities are invited to a free game-making event at Leander High School on Sunday, November 15.

Haven Leander runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and welcomes ages 13 to 18. No coding experience is required.

The student-led event is part of nonprofit Hack Club’s Haven initiative. Participants will work together to turn ideas into playable video games, with workshops and support for beginners.

A day of building and sharing games

The published schedule includes an opening ceremony, a beginners’ workshop, time to build projects and an evening opportunity to play one another’s games. Meals and snacks are included.

Organizers describe it as a supervised, in-person event and invite parents to contact them with questions beforehand.

Families can find the timetable, parent information and registration through the official Haven Leander page.
